Combining DTP with Embossing

Prepare card by folding 41/2 X 11” navy cardstock in half using a bone folder to flatten the fold. DTP the edges of the card front with Ochre, Cerulean & Merlot from the Provence Petal Point or with cat eyes. Cut Royal cs 4” x 5”. Emboss the edges using clear ink & black embossing powder. Mount to front of card. Set aside.

Cut navy cs 41/2 x 31/2”. DTP the edges with Ochre, Cerulean & Merlot from the Provence Petal Point or with cat eyes. Mount to card front & set aside.

Cut another piece of royal cs 3 x 4”. Black emboss the edges. Mount to front of card & set aside.

Swipe a piece of 3 x 4” navy cs with a static guard or a used bounce sheet. Black emboss the Magenta present #02.129.N page 204 on the scrap. DTP over the image using the same colors as above. Gently wipe the color from the embossed image with a Kleenex. Use an exacto knife to cut away part of the bow. Cut out present. Reheat the image to seal the cut edges. Mount to card. Wrap 17” of yarn around fold of card. Tie in a knot.

Ink - SU Pink Passion, Clear embossing ink.

Cardstock - Black, White, SU Pink Passion, Wallpaper.

Accessories - SU! Scallop punch, Black embossing powder, heat gun.
