C023 Under the Sea

This is a card that I am honoured to share with you! It was published in the November/December 2001 issue of The Rubber Stamper (below)! What a highlight to actually have a card published!

Prepare card by folding 51/2" x 81/2" teal cardstock in half using a bone folder to make a nice crease. Set aside.

Cut paintable wallpaper (available at Wal-Mart or wallpaper places) 51/4” x 4”. Add small drops of light blue acrylic paint. Blend into the wallpaper using a make-up sponge. Add drops of medium blue acrylic paint in three different places, overlapping the first color. Blend with the same make-up sponge. Add drops of dark blue acrylic paint, blending and overlapping. Add drops of teal and green paint and blend until your wallpaper is completely covered. Let dry.

Spray with gold glitter. Glue to the front of your prepared card. You now have the illusion of sea weeds in the ocean.

Brayer glossy cardstock using a rainbow ink (I used Island ink by Stamp It). Stamp fish H.0018 page 92 and 23021.B page 39, three times each using black Memories ink. Cut out and assemble in the ocean.

  1. What a great card! I've got to find paintable wallpaper now. TFS!
